Spring 2013

Amount Raised: $9,000

Scary was the theme of this year's School-A-Palooza, and we're not even talking about the horrible auditorium acoustics. Revenge of the Zombie Lunch Boxes started with Producer Jay Douglas explaining that a horrible lunchroom accident had unleashed some zombie grumblings from the cafeteria area, but "the show must go on." Returning favorites Andrew Neuman and Deirdre Cipolla sang and danced, respectively, and classics such as "The Boxer" and "If I Only Had a Brain" were performed. A new element was introduced to the School-A-Palooza canon - the unitard - in a wacky interpretative dance piece that brought the show's program to life. (Don't ask. If you weren't there, it's not worth repeating.) Lots of other amazing acts were featured and Barry and the Band brought the night to a rocking close. That's not scary - that's awesome!
